The cottage is open all year round and truly provides a holiday for all seasons. Winter brings the dark nights with the possibilities of seeing the Northern lights if there is solar activity, winter birdwatching - easier when there are no leaves on the trees plus you have the winter migrants to spot, waxwings, geese, and redwings. Crisp days with frosty walks, sometimes snow followed by cosy evenings in front of the log burning stove. Spring brings the snowdrops, fresh green shoots, daffodils at Brodie Castle, birds starting to pair up and the dolphins are getting a lot more active. In summer the dolphins are feasting on salmon, the days are very long, Highland games and agricultural shows are in full swing. Autumn brings the fabulous colours, dolphins are still very much in evidence with the new babies making their first appearances.
