Lovely, well equipped cottage with stunning views.
Excellent communication from owner Lynne, who provided so much info about the cottage and area, especially dog friendly info, which was really helpful.
The garden is fully enclosed and secure, which was really important for us and our rescue dog.
Would highly recommend.

Fabulous dog friendly well located cottage. The accommodation had absolutely everything we needed and secure for my whippets. Neighbours real friendly, great views, sunsets and super morning walk on out doorstep. Well located for lots of close by walks, chanory point, Cromarty, great river and beach walks at Nairn, canal walks Inverness, culloden, clava cairns and the complimentary tickets for fort George were very welcome , the views from the fort are amazing just make sure you go on a day the cafe is open and you can spend all day there. Couple of cold nights which made the wood burner very cheering and welcome, very much highly recommend.

We have just returned from our 5th stay at the cottage and we've had the most wonderful time. The cottage is fully equipped with everything that is needed. The raised water bowls were a lovely addition this year. This is what sets Dolphin View apart from other supposedly dog friendly cottages - Lynn pays such attention to detail. The cottage has a fully secure garden and the most amazing views from the front. The sunsets are absolutely stunning. Ardersier is ideally placed for sightseeing and, after 5 years of visits, there remain many new places to explore. We have been fortunate to see bottlenose dolphins at Burghead and Chanonry Point, and we love the beautiful, dog-friendly beaches along the Moray Firth, especially Nairn and Roseisle. We certainly recommend this cottage and we look forward to returning again.

A cosy and well equiped very dog friendly cottage on the banks of the Moray Firth. The garden is secure and well tended. Nothing appears too much bother for the owners and we were made very welcome.
Tips for other travellers
We did the usual tourist things of Fort George, Loch Ness, culloden etc and admired the scenery from afar ( we're not walkers!)
Everyone we met seemed very friendly and helpful.

10/10 for everything. On arrival the cottage was immaculate. The free range eggs, milk butter etc were much appreciated. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay was supplied. The back garden was secure for our escapologist specalists which made our stay so much more relaxing! We so enjoyed sitting in the garden or at the window watching the sunset with a glass of wine. The dolphins at Chanory Point did not disappoint. We saw 5 of them so close and most with a calf. Fort George was just incredible and it was lovely to revisit Findhorn and Roseisle for our favourite walks. Fabulous area, fabulous cottage, fabulous views and fabulous hosts. Thank you

Lynn is very well organised: all instructions & manuals are neatly kept together and readily to hand. There is always plenty information to hand about the local area and her Facebook page is full of additional tips and photographs. The house is extremely well maintained and the gardens are kept in great condition. The cottage is ideally situated for looking out into the bay or even to sit and watch the birds in the hedge. Lynn also provides a selection of books and dvds.
Tips for other travellers
Fort George is highly recommended and Lynn has kindly provided a pass for visitors. The shore path in front of the cottage is an easy walk and the beaches at Nairn are within a short drive. Lossiemouth and Findhorn beaches are also well worth visiting along with the various little villages along the Moray coast. Gordon Castle at Fochabers has an amazing garden especially if fruit growing is of interest: payment is made using an honesty box. The cafe is also recommended. Another longer journey takes you across the Kessock Bridge through Avoch, Fortrose and Rosemarkie finally ending up in Cromarty. More beautiful scenery.

Lynn is an amazing host. The cottage is spotless and has everything we need. Lynn provides excellent advice on places to go and things to do and is very responsive to her guests. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. So thoughtful.
Tips for other travellers
This was our fourth visit to Dolphin View and we will be returning next year. There is always more to see and do. The beaches are fantastic and dog friendly (Nairn, Roseisle, Portmahomack, Rosemarkie etc). The view from the window is awesome.

I have to 💯 % agree with all the previous comments. Dolphin View is a home away from home, only better equipped. Lynn’s attention to detail is wonderful before during and after our visit. The wee human and doggie extras left for us was most welcome and Moyes is still playing with his new ball. We loved Fort George and a visit to Jacobite cruises is a must. Dogs are allowed in the shops and restaurant and the trip up the Caledonian Canal was excellent.
Thanks Lynn for a great week.

We just spent the most amazing week at dolphin view. The whole experience was great from the communication with Lynn before our stay and the comprehensive information provided, to the welcome pack for us and our dog on arrival. Lynn really has thought of everything including tick removers and tags with her number in case of runaway dogs. The garden was ideal to sit out in and very secure so we didn't need to worry about our escape artist dog getting out. My favourite part was the view from the dining table, it was so nice to sit with a cup of tea in the morning or a glass of wine watching the sunset in the evening. I hope we will be able to visit again soon. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday Lynn

We have just spent a wonderful week on holiday with our two Poodles in Dolphin View Cottage. It is a lovely warm home away from home, beautifully clean and so well equipped. We were particularly touched by the doggy welcome pack we found on our arrival, especially the holiday ID discs that had Lynn's contact details on one side and "I am on holiday. If alone I am lost" on the other. Our dogs come everywhere with us and this was the most 'dog friendly' holiday we have ever had. Having a holiday at the beginning of April can bring unpredictable weather, to quote Lynn we had "interesting weather." We had sunshine, rain, rainbows, cloud, mist, hail and snow. It didn't matter one bit. We got out and about every day, visiting all the places on our wish list and returning to a nice warm cottage afterwards. The view from the cottage is incredible, the local walks are lovely, there are interesting places to visit very nearby and we saw dolphins on three separate occasions. We had the best time.

There is no better cottage in the whole of Scotland for accommodation, views and people. We enjoyed the the holiday we spent there with our labradors. You couldn’t find a more attentive Landlady in Lynn, short of nothing and so clean we could not speak more highly of this beautiful cottage.

We have just spent an absolutely fantastic 2 weeks at Dolphin View Cottage. We would highly recommend this place. The cottage is one of the most well equipped that we have ever stayed in. Not just sufficient but everything you could ever need. The area is lovely with some fantastic walks for the dogs and the Cheese Pantry is well worth a visit. Beaches, restaurants, cafés and pubs are all very dog friendly. Plus a wealth of historic places to visit. We went to Culloden. Fort George, Cawdor Castle and of course we had to do a distillery.
We will definitely be making return trips to this cottage.

Had a lovely relaxing week at Dolphin View. Thank you

Everything you would need is in the cottage.
It's in a great location for exploring the amazing beaches, forests, distilleries, etc in the area.
Fort George is within walking distance and a fascinating place to visit.

We even managed to see the dolphins playing, while eating breakfast one morning.

We had another wonderful stay at the cottage and we have already booked again for next year, and for longer. :) The cottage is so well equipped and located. For this year, we were especially grateful for all the efforts Lynn has put in to ensure the cottage is COVID safe for guests. This was really appreciated. The cottage is so comfortable, it is a home from home. We are looking forward to seeing you again next year. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

We have enjoyed a lovely stay at Dolphin View cottage, Ardersier and have seen all the seasons in a few days. Sunshine, rain, wind and snow.
After long walks with our two labradors along the path to Fort George and the common, or the beautiful Nairn beach, it's been lovely to settle back with a drink in the evening by the wood burning stove.
Such a lovely cosey cottage with a well equipped kitchen. The cottage is always smart, clean and welcoming. Lynn, the owner, prides herself on providing a home from home experience for her guests. Dogs are not only allowed, they are made very welcome and with a secure rear garden it's perfect for us and our two labradors.
Apart from the amazing views across the Moray Firth, the location is perfect  for exploring further afield. The village of Ardersier is friendly and welcoming. The local pub and restaurant is dog friendly in the bar and the restaurant serves good quality food. The village has two good size convenience shops, a post office and chemist. A perfect winter holiday.
Back again soon!

We have just returned from an amazing week at the cottage and we have already booked again for 2020. The cottage is well-equipped, spotless, and a perfect home from home. The view from the lounge is awesome (a word that is often over-used but very appropriate in this case). Lynn is an excellent host making guests (human and canine) welcome. Lynn makes sure her guests are well-informed and her communication with guests is second to none. The cottage is the most dog friendly we have come across and there is extensive information about pooch friendly days out and a wealth of information about the surrounding area and all it has to offer. We can't wait to return. Thank you Lynn.

Visited for first time late March 2019 with my partner and her dog. We had, after a 10 hour drive , a very warm welcome by the owner, Lynn. The cottage had everything one needed, was very clean and comfortable. Excellent views and ideally situated for walking or driving to other areas of interest , and there are lots. Lovely arrival gift for the dog was also a kind though . We will return for sure. Dave, Carole and Bella... Swindon, Wiltshire.

Cosey coastal cottage
Left on Dec 4, 2018 for a stay in Nov 2018
Visited the cottage in November and had a lovely stay. The owner is helpful and friendly. Dogs are made welcome and receive a welcome pack including a small toy. The recent addition of a wood burning stove has only added to the charm. Sitting in the cosey longe on a chilly day and gazing over the firth to the Black Isle was so relaxing. Dolphins and birdlife can be seen from the shingle shore. There is a 2km walk to historic Fort George almost from the front door. The path surface is flat and hard surfaced. The village is friendly and has two very good pubs who serve excellent food. The Starr Inn is dog friendly. There is a good bus service to Nairn and Inverness, the bus stop is close to the cottage. There are two well stocked village shops, post office and chemist. I have booked a return trip in Spring

Lovely cottage in coastal location
Left on Nov 21, 2018 for a stay in Nov 2018
Dolphin View cottage at Ardersier is a lovely, clean, comfortable cottage in a pleasant village location with sea views. Lynn, the owner was there to meet us and our dogs when we arrived. There is a lot of information in the cottage about walks, eating places and day trips etc and Lynn will give more ideas if you ask her. It is very dog friendly and we felt our girls were really welcome and Lynn had supplied dog towels, bowls, toys, etc as well as goodies for us including eggs from her own hens. The cottage is warm, comfortable and very well equipped with a comfy bed and plenty of towels etc. The TV has sky freeview and a dvd player with a selection of dvd's. There's a good supply of local info, ordnance survey maps and books. The back garden is secure with a high fence and gate keeping dogs safe and happy. Two minutes from the cottage is the coastal path to Fort George, a great scenic walk. There's lots to do in the area. Our favourites were the beach at Nairn, Findhorn, the scenic drive across to pretty Ullapool and walks in the many beautiful forests. There's also visits to the many distilleries and the the drive down the coast towards Gardenstown. Of course it's also really pleasant to spend a day wandering the coast path and Ardersier itself, visiting the Connage Highland dairy who serve lovely coffee and cake and buying some glass from Half-a-moon stained glass on the outskirts of the village finishing with fish and chips from the van which stops in the village on Tuesday teatimes. Lynn couldn't make you feel more welcome and we're now planning a second visit.

Comfortable, cosy cottage with fabulous views!
Left on Oct 31, 2018 for a stay in Oct 2018
The location was excellent for sea views and for easy access dog walks near the beach. Ardersier is not particularly a stimulating place but is an ideal location for visiting various places like Aviemore, Nairn, Forres, Inverness and other neighbouring towns. The cottage was comfortable and cosy with everything we needed and the owner gave more thought to our four legged friends than I've every come across before which was a lovely touch. I would definitely stay there again when visiting Inverness.

A beautifully kept cosey cottage with all the comforts of home but with such amazing views across the Moray Firth to the Black Isle its hard to tear yourself away. The cottage is pet friendly and has a neat, safe garden for pets to enjoy. Ardersier is a small village but has all the amenities of a larger place with good eating places on hand without the need to drive. Love it. Will be back!

This cottage is lovely with a superb view. Extremely well equipped, comfortable and feels very private. Kitchen is great with everything you need, lots of books and DVDs, ample everything! Lynn (owner) has definitely gone above and beyond. All the goodies she left us and our labradoodle were sweet, kind, thoughtful and much appreciated. Very dog friendly with secure garden, and amazing Nairn beach is just minutes away. Great location too for many days out, food options and for the convenience of Inverness. Highly recommend and would love to come back and stay again soon. A week just isn't enough! Do contact Lynn directly though if shows booked on Trip Advisor as she manages it through her own site. Thank you for an amazing holiday!
