Dolphin View Cottage is open all year round. With the cosy log burning stove and coastal location the cottage provides a holiday for all seasons.
Winter brings the dark nights with the possibilities of seeing the Northern lights over the Moray Firth if there is solar activity. Clear winter skies are great for watching the stars. For birdwatchers it's a great time of year, winter birdwatching - easier when there are no leaves on the trees plus you have the winter migrants to spot, waxwings, geese, and redwings. Crisp days with frosty walks, sometimes snow followed by cosy evenings in front of the log burning stove.
Spring brings the snowdrops, fresh green shoots, daffodils at Brodie Castle, birds starting to pair up and the dolphins are getting a lot more active.
In Summer the dolphins are feasting on salmon so are on the surface much more as they play and hunt. The days are very long so great for extending exploring, Highland games and agricultural shows are in full swing.
Autumn brings the fabulous colours, if it has been raining we have some fabulous waterfalls to visit. The dolphins are still very much in evidence with the new babies making their first appearances.
